Treatment for Fatigue
The symptoms we see caused by spine and postural weakness are extremely versatile – back and neck pain and poor posture to breathing problems and much more. But did you know weakness in the spine can also cause fatigue? Fatigue is actually the most common symptom of spine and postural weakness we see.
The human body functions best when balanced, and eliminating postural distortions allows the body to apply its resources into things like metabolism and thinking. Humans were meant to run, jump, twist, push, pull, squat, lunge and more. Sitting at a desk or in traffic every day deconditions our bodies and wastes our most precious resource – ENERGY!

Fatigue, generally referring to a lack of energy that can be both physical and mental, can sometimes be so intense it hinders daily activities. Fatigue is more than just feeling drowsy. It can include mental exhaustion, lack of motivation, apathy, listlessness and even depression. Fatigue has both physical and mental causes.
Chronic Fatigue Syndrome
Commonly occurring in women ages 30 to 50, chronic fatigue syndrome (CFS) is a condition marked by extreme fatigue not caused by any medical conditions. It can’t be fixed with rest, which can be frustrating, but there is good fatigue treatment available – you just have to know where to look! Contrary to what you may think, chiropractic is a great option for fatigue treatment
Symptoms: How do you know if you have CFS? There are several symptoms:
• Persistent muscle pain
• Constant headaches
• Difficulty sleeping
• Difficulty concentrating or remembering things
• Joint pain
• Tenderness in the lymph node region
• Balance problems and/or dizziness
• Chills and night sweats
• Sudden sensitivities to medications, odors or food
If you’ve been experiencing more than one of these symptoms for more than a couple weeks, don’t continue to wait, thinking it will go away. Fatigue treatment is available, and it may be what you need.
Causes: No specific cause of chronic fatigue is known, though some suggest inflammation in the nervous system due to an improper immune system response can result in CFS.
There are a number of factors that can affect whether or not you develop chronic fatigue syndrome, including:
• Nutritional deficiency
• Age
• Genetics
• Stress
• Previous illnesses
Believe it or not, exercise and eating healthy can help cure CFS. This is not to say working out for an hour every day magically cures chronic fatigue syndrome, but it can help a lot – not to mention it will make you feel more energized! Chiropractic and physical therapy are viable fatigue treatment options – but you have other choices as well.
