What Does Ideal Protein Phase 1 Entail?
In our Ideal Protein FAQ section, we’ve talked about the Ideal Protein diet and the overall Ideal Protein Weight Loss Method. Now we are going to break it down into a little more detail. What does Ideal Protein phase 1 entail?
Let’s first take a look at what your diet will be like during the first stage of the Ideal Protein Weight Loss Method.
Ideal Protein Diet Phase 1
The Ideal Protein diet phase 1 is low in both carbs and fats. During phase 1, you can eat foods like:
- BBQ veggie salads
Ideal Protein foods include:
- Already-prepared bars
- Soy puffs
- Soy nuts
- Soy nuts
- Southwest cheese curls
- BBQ ridges
- Salt and vinegar ridges
During phase 1, the Ideal Protein foods will be the basis for the majority of your meals. This doesn’t mean you can’t enjoy other foods, you just need to be careful about what you’re eating. You can work something out with your weight loss coach. As a general rule of thumb, any food you are eating should be free of – or low in – fat, sugar and carbs. Also keep in mind that every diet will be a little different. Your weight loss coach may want to customize the plan to better fit your needs or lifestyle.
As you may have heard, “Will I be hungry?” is a question that often arises when it comes to Ideal Protein, especially the first phase. The great news is that you won’t be hungry. You’ll be getting enough protein and feel energized with the foods you’ll be eating.
This brings us to another common concern – exercising.
Exercising During Ideal Protein Phase 1
You need to be careful about exercising, particularly during the first week.
If you exercise and your blood sugar levels get too low during the first few weeks, more glucose is produced. This leads to gluconeogenesis, which can cause muscle loss. This is why you must be careful with exercising. Talk to your weight loss coach about it for the best results, but it’s highly recommended to exercise lightly during the first couple of weeks. After the first three weeks or so, exercising is fine, but be sure to stay hydrated and not tire yourself out excessively!
Ideal Protein Phase 1
During Ideal Protein phase 1, most dieters lose three to seven pounds of body fat. This question often comes up, and though it may seem impossible based on the diet in phase 1, three to seven pounds is the average weight loss during this stage. Your body is forced to use energy stored in the fat cells, which helps your body shed fat and promotes healthy weight loss. During Ideal Protein phase 1, you should reach approximately 80 percent of your weight loss goal.
